This weekend we began working on Mollee's nursery. We found these green baskets to use on the changing table for storage
After going back and forth between paint colors for the room (green?...blue?...green?...blue?...green?...blue?...)
The decision has been made (and hopefully will stick!) It's the bottom left green that you (can kinda) see above. It's Behr's Corn Husk Green. I found this pic below of someone's bedroom painted with the color.
Calming, isn't it? Hopefully it will look that great on our walls!
H's friend, Brandon, gave us this old nursery glider that he had. As you can see, H has started to sand it down. He bought some dark paint that he will use on it once he's finished sanding it.
This is the fabric that we will use to recover it once he's finished with the sanding. It was a difficult decision between that and a hot pink fabric. Decided to go with the blue so that we can reuse the glider for that baby boy we will have next! (Picture H's face when those words come out of my mouth...Yet, I'm not joking! But my feelings may change after delivery so don't hold me to it!)
My grandma, Mollie, was so kind to give us this beautiful green, antique dresser. It's well over 100 years old. It survived the Galveston flood in 1900. It needs some work, but we are so blessed and thankful that she is passing it down to her great-granddaughter (who is being named after her!) Once H is finished with his glider-sanding project, this will be his next project!
Making progress on Mollee's nursery has been fun! Just trying not to go too broke in the process!
