Sea World

We took Mollee to Sea World.  The weather ended up being fairly nice...kinda breezy, but warm still.  We still broke a sweat, but it was NOTHING like it would have been last week when the pool water in our neighborhood TRULY felt like a bathtub.  It was AWFUL.  Anyway, back to Sea World...So the day started off a little rocky....Eh, more like major anxiety-inducing.  We got about half way there and all of a sudden I screamed, "OH NO!!!!!"  I looked at H and he said, "You forgot the tickets, didn't you?"  Yep!  Sure did.  So I pulled over so I could get my thoughts together. 

You see, we had free tickets (that Sea World offers to teachers for teacher appreciation) that I had printed at the end of the school year along with copies of our teaching certificates and payroll stubs...all of the required paperwork to get in free.  We couldn't reprint this stuff cause the last day to print the free tickets was two days prior.  His first thought was to turn around and try again the next day.  I thought we should just bite the bullet and go ahead and pay for the two of us to get in.  (Mollee was free regardless for being under 2.)  Then we came up with the plan of having my mom go get said paperwork from our house and fax it to us.  So thank goodness she did and it all worked out. 

Due to that little setback, we didn't arrive at the park until noon.  (We had hoped to get there at 10 when they opened...not knowing how long Miss Thang would last before melting down for a nap.) 

She did fabulously.  When she finally started to melt down around 2, we headed out.  Even though we were only there 2 hours, it felt more like 7. 

We had fun and we hope to return over the Christmas Break since our free passes don't expire until January. 

We kinda tag-teamed her all day...taking turns going with her on/through things while the other watched the stroller. 

We started with the Shamu show.  She kept doing the sign language sign for "more" as she said, "More Shamu!  More Shamu!" after every time she would see him jump.

Then we fed the ducks and the pink flamingos.  She wanted her daddy to do the feeding as she watched.  (Disclaimer:  Don't mind the sour looks on their faces...Neither of them were expecting their pic being taken.  But then again, they were with yours truly...Should they really expect any less??!!)

After that, we went to the Elmo show.  She absolutely loved it.  It was PERFECT for her age.  Not too crowded.  Up close.  Not too long (maybe 20 min. at the most.)  She kept saying, "Where Elmo?...Where Elmo?" as she waited for his big debut.

She danced as the stars of the show danced.

She was completely starstruck.

We then headed over to the Sesame Street Bay of Play where she splashed around to cool off.

She wanted to ride the carosel...but once we boarded the ride, she had a change of heart about getting on that big, scary horse.  So we found this nifty little bench seat on the ride instead.  She was pretty happy at that point.

We ended the day with a little dolphin feeding.  We didn't actually feed the dolphins cause the line to buy food was too long and she was just about done...but we just stood next to people who were feeding them.  She wanted her daddy to hold her close enough to see them....but not too close.  Those pointy, little teeth were kinda scary!

We had intentions of buying her a stuffed Shamu.  But she wanted NOTHING to do with that thing.  Each time we would bring one close to her, she would freak.  So she opted for a less-scary dolphin friend instead. 

EXHAUSTED AND SNORING AWAY AFTER A LONG DAY OF FUN!
